Who we are
The Sower Foundation is a project in formation, run by Franco in Virginia, USA. This is not an official university website. Contact: info@thesowerfoundation.org.
What we collect
- From the form: your name, WhatsApp number, email (optional), the country where you live now, the program and study option you are interested in, and your two confirmations (age and contact). We add the date, your code (like SOW-AB12CD) and the version of this notice.
- Later, in our messages: your studies, English level, when you would like to start, whether you are a US citizen or permanent resident, and short notes of our conversations.
Why
- To answer you and to help you with programs, the application, the Form I-20, the visa interview and arrival.
- We ask if you are a US citizen or permanent resident because then you would not need an F-1 visa or a Form I-20, so your path is different.
- The date, your code and the notice version help us find your details quickly and show that you agreed.
Who we share it with
We share your details with a university only if you say yes. We ask you first on WhatsApp or email and write down the date. Then we share your name, email, WhatsApp number, country, program and study option with that university, to register your application with our help. We never sell or rent your details.
Where it is kept
With Google (Sheets and Gmail), WhatsApp (Meta) and Cloudflare. Cloudflare hosts this website, counts visits without cookies and runs the chat assistant. The page also loads its fonts from Google. These companies may process data in the USA and other countries.
How long
We delete your details 12 months after our last contact, from our list, our email and our WhatsApp chats. If you apply or enroll with our help, we keep only your name, your code, the university and the dates, for as long as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, complete or delete your details, or withdraw your consent, at any time, as easily as you gave it. Write STOP to us on WhatsApp (+1 703 489 7756) or email info@thesowerfoundation.org. We reply within 30 days.
When you withdraw, we stop contacting you and delete your details. We keep only a short record of your request for one year, so we don't message you by mistake.
If you live in India and you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Under 18?
A parent or guardian should fill in the form and write to us. We contact the student only with the parent's permission.
Please never send us
Passport, bank details, ID numbers or passwords. Upload documents only to the university's official site.
Chat assistant
The chat on our page is an AI assistant and can make mistakes. What you type goes to Cloudflare, which runs the AI, to write the answer. We do not save the chat. Please don't share personal details in it.
